Forest School

Many of our schools offer Forest School provision, enriching learning by providing regular opportunities for pupils to engage with the natural environment and support their overall well-being. Through hands-on, outdoor experiences, pupils develop confidence, resilience, and independence, while also improving their physical health and emotional awareness. The calm, open setting encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, helping children to build positive relationships and manage challenges effectively. This holistic approach enhances pupils’ well-being and supports their readiness to learn across all areas of the curriculum.

Thinksport Coaching

Think Sport provides a wide range of clubs before school, after school, and, in some cases, during the school day, enhancing the breadth of learning opportunities available to pupils. These sessions encourage children to develop their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of physical activity in a supportive and engaging environment. By promoting regular participation in sport, Thinksport helps pupils to lead active lifestyles, supporting both their physical health and overall well-being. This provision plays an important role in keeping children healthy, happy, and motivated to take part in sport both in and beyond school.

Whipsnade Zoo

Some of our schools benefit from a partnership with Whipsnade Zoo, providing rich and engaging opportunities to enhance both the primary and Early Years curriculum through real-world learning experiences. Through visits and collaborative projects, pupils deepen their understanding of animals, habitats, and conservation, supporting key areas of learning such as understanding the world, communication, and language in the Early Years, as well as science and geography in later years. These experiences foster curiosity and a sense of responsibility for the natural world, while also developing observational skills and critical thinking. By learning in such a unique environment, children gain memorable, hands-on experiences that enrich their knowledge and strengthen their connection to the world around them.
