Professional Development

Our Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme is designed to foster a collaborative culture across our primary and infant schools. By combining external school tours with internal training and good practice sharing, we aim to move beyond “one-size-fits-all” training to a more dynamic, peer-led improvement model.

Our CPD Commitment

At the heart of our school improvement plan is the belief that we are our own best resource. Our 2026/27 CPD calendar focuses on Open Doors and Shared Practice. We are committed to providing staff with regular opportunities to step outside their own classrooms—not only to visit partner schools and observe diverse teaching styles but also to engage in high-impact, research-led staff meetings.

This year, our “Discovery Tours” will allow teachers to observe excellent practitioners in action across different settings, focusing on specific priorities such as Adaptive Teaching, EYFS Transition, and Effective Feedback.

CPD Grid 1: External Tours and Discovery Visits

These visits are designed for peer-to-peer learning and networking. Each visit includes a

30-minute observation followed by a professional dialogue session.

CPD Grid 2: Internal Training and School Improvement Days

This grid covers our formal staff meetings and half-day sessions dedicated to your School Improvement Plan (SIP).
